Topaz-Rapunzel

Topaz as Rapunzel

Rapunzel (ラプンツェル Rapuntsu~eru?) is a German folktale by the Grimm Brothers and was first published in 1812 as part of Children's and Household Tales.

Original Story[]

Rapunzel is a young girl with long, blonde hair, who was locked up in a high tower. She was prisoned by an evil witch. The only way to get into her tower room was to climb up Rapunzel's hair, so that the witch could give her food and water.

And one day, a young prince was amazed by Rapunzel's songs and called the phrase "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!", climbs up to her and both fall in love with each other. As the witch found that out, she cut down Rapunzel's hair and banned her. Then she waited until the prince came back to fool and ashame him.

After he lost his sight, he accidently found Rapunzel's new prison and recognizing the girl by her voice. The tears he cried after finding Rapunzel healed his sight and he went, together with Rapunzel, back to his kingdom.
